"A Daunting Task" Print
I’ve always viewed myself as an avid outdoorsman. I’m not a survivalist by any means, but I do love working outside. I think inspiration for this image came from when I needed to clear a tree from our property and the chainsaw wasn’t working. An axe is an amazing tool, but it can be pretty daunting to dismantle a tree with one.
This is part of my selfie series. A while back, when photo augmenting apps were becoming popular, I wanted to create a series that could not be replicated by an app. The person in each photograph is me. All elements of each image was captured by me.
These images are printed on wood. I just love the way the texture and lines of the wood show through the print. It ads to the overall aesthetic each image creates. The print shown in the mockups is 24×36 inches.
