A few times a year, the mix of humidity and temperature combine perfectly to fill the valley with a thick layer of fog. I had a feeling that if I got above it, the shot could be amazing. I made it to the top of this trail just as the sun was rising above the Grand Mesa. I think it was well worth the early morning hike.
This is printed at 20×30 inches on Fuji Pearl paper. This paper gives the image an almost metallic sheen. It also responds well to the amount of light used to display the image. It’s a very different look depending on the intensity of light.
