"Unlikely Travelers" Print
All of the other images in this series contain real background elements. I did not have big sand dunes nearby so they were created by throwing a fleece blanket strategically on my bed. The “sand” I’m standing on in the foreground is simply table salt.
The cactus was real and one of my favorite houseplants for a long time. It is no longer with us.
This is part of my selfie series. A while back, when photo augmenting apps were becoming popular, I wanted to create a series that could not be replicated by an app. The person in each photograph is me. All elements of each image was captured by me.
These images are printed on wood. I just love the way the texture and lines of the wood show through the print. It ads to the overall aesthetic each image creates. The print shown in the mockups is 24×36 inches.
